Meet the kids from the Hero Club: Makayla, Emily, Matt, and José. They have incredible adventures and somehow manage to work out all the problems along the way. These books show situations that many kids get themselves into, and the Hero Club show them how to solve the problems for a happy ending. Character developement (and these kinds of topics) is important in most state standards. Each book has a "What Do You Think?" and "Important Ideas" section to promote discussion and reading comprehension.
